Chardham Yatra with Chopta 10 Nights 11 Days
Chardham Yatra with Chopta is duration of 10 Nights / 11 Days. In this tour we cover Kedarnath Temple, Badrinath Temple, Gangori Temple, Yamunotri Temple and Chopta.Chardham Yatra with Chopta Tour starts from haridwar and end at haridwar. All the five teemples details are as belows:
1. Kedarnath Temple
Kedarnath Temple situated magnificently at an altitude of 3600 Meter in the Garhwal Himalayas. It is also one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. Kedarnath forms one of the four sites of the Chota Chardham Yatra. This Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, Kedarnath Temple is among the 275 temples of Paadal Petra Sthalams and is also the most important among the Panch Kedars Temple.
2. Badrinath Temple
Badrinath Temple is one of the temple of Chardham of India. It is situated on the banks of Alaknanda River. This holy town is named after the Badrinath temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Many Hindu devotees are smitten by the charm of this holy shrine.
3. Gangotri
Gangotri is a small town centered around Gangotri temple and is one of the holy places among the four Char Dhams. It is the most important temple of river Ganga.
The origin of the ganga river is at Gaumukh, situated in the Gangotri glacier that can be accessed by a short 19 km trek from Gangotri. According to Hindu mythology, Gangotri is the place where river Ganga descended from heaven when Lord Shiva released the mighty river from his luscious locks.
4. Yamunotri
ymunotri Temple is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna. Yamunotri Temple lies in the Garhwal Himalayas. River Yamuna originates at Yamunotri. Hence, Yamunotri Temple forms one of the four Chota Chardham pilgrimage sites. The majestic mountains, mesmerizing springs of Surya Kund and Gouri Kund gushing hot and cold water respectively.
5. Chopta
Chopta, A beautifull place located in Uttarakhand, is a heaven for trekker. The base camp of treks like Tugnanath, Deoria Tal and Chandrashila, Chopta is an ideal destination for intermediate trekkers to go on a guided trek and brush up their skills. The third temple of Panch Kedar is located in Tugnanath, around 3.5 km away from Chopta. Camping in the open grassy meadows of Chopta that slopes on softly, among alpine, pine, deodar and rhododendron trees is something that you will experience only in Chopta. The snow-covered peaks of Trishul, Nanda Devi and Chaukhambha dominates the view in Chopta.
Itinerary
Day 01: Haridwar > Barkot ( 200 km / 07 Hrs. drive)
Welcome to Chardham Yatra with Chopta from One India Tourism Team. You are greeted and assisted on arrival at Haridwar Railway station by One India Tourism representative and proceed to Barkot via Mussoorie, you can visit Kempty Falls in-route. On arrival at Barkot, check-in to hotel and Rest of the day is leisure. Overnight stay at Barkot.
Day 02: Yamunotri > Barkot ( 42 km DRIVE and 06 km TREK)
Transfer to Jankichatti from where trek starts for Yamunotri. On arrival leave the vehicle and start to ascend on trek route either by trekking or pony/doli (at own cost). It is about 6 Kms. On arrival at Yamunotri buy Prasad form local shops, then proceed to holy dip in natural hot water spring or in river Yamuna (icy cold water). Everyone can cook rice in “Surya Kund” (hot water spring), dipping in a muslin cloth and take cooked rice home as “Prasadam”. Pooja can be offered to mythological “Divya Shila”. Take blessings of Mata Yamuna and Later trek down for Jankichatti where our driver will transfer back to Barkot for overnight night stay.
Day 03: Barkot > Uttarkashi ( 82 km / 4 Hrs. )
Early Morning departed for Uttarkashi, on arrival check-in at hotel, after rest visit famous Kashi Vishwanath temple at Uttarkashi. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 04: Uttarkashi > Gangotri > Uttarkashi (24 km. PER WAY)
after breakfast at Morning drive for Gangotri, en-route enjoy the beauty of nature to drive parallel to bank of Bhagirathi River . On arrival Gangotri have a holy dip in river Bhagirathi (icy cold water). Perform Pooja and Hindu rites at the bank of river and then proceed to Mata Ganga Darshan , Lord Shiva, Hanuman, Vinayka and Bhagirath Maharaj darshan also and return back to Uttarkashi. Overnight stay at Uttarkashi.
Day 05: Uttarkashi > Guptkashi / Phata (approx 223 kms / 09 hrs DRIVE)
Morning Check-out from Hotel and drive to Guptkashi / Phata. On arrival check-in to hotel. Later do Registration for visiting Kedarnath, overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 06: Guptkashi/Phata > Kedarnath (approx 27 km DRIVE + 18 km TREK)
Early morning check-out and drive to Gaurikund/ Phata (for starting trek or helipad) trek starts from here to Kedarnath. On foot or Heli/doli/pony (at own cost). Tour members should carry personal medicines, heavy woolen and clothes. After performing Pooja & Darshan of Shri Kedarnath ji return to Guptakashi/Phata. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 07: Kedarnath > Guptkashi / Phata (approx 27 km DRIVE + 19 km TREK)
Early morning after breakfast, Check out the camp, Come back from kedarnath to Guptakashi / Phata. Check into the hotel. Over Night stay at hotel.
Day 08: Guptkashi > Chopta (65 Kms / 1.3hrs drive) Excursion Tunganath
Today start your drive to Chopta a paradise for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts’ traveler. Now start your trek to Tunganath (3680 m) one of the five Kedar. The trek is 3 kms upward. Enroute you will find lush green meadows and you can see the entire range of snow capped range of Chaukhamba peak in Himalayas. Upon arrival at Tungnath Temple perform worship there. Overnight stay at Guptakashi.
Day 09: Guptkashi/ Phata > Pandukeshwar / Badrinath (185 kms / 6 hrs )
Early Morning check-out after breakfast and transfer to Badrinath, en-route visit Karanprayag, Nandprayag, Vishnu Prayag, & Joshimath (Narshimha Temple) on arrival check in at hotel, in the evening visit Badrinath temple, overnight stay at hotel.
Day 10: Badrinath > Rudraprayag / Srinagar
Morning visit temple after a holy dip in Taptkund. Proceed through colorful entrance of the temple have Darshan of Badrivishal along with Ganesh, Kubera, Garuda, Narada, Udhhav, Nar & Narayan. Also see another small temples inside the temple compound i.e. Laxmimata, Nar-Narayana, Hanuman, Ghantakarn and Kaamdhenu. One can get ‘Charnamirt’(abhishekamjal) in side compound. Brahamakapal is significant for Pinddam Shraddh of ancestors (Pitrus), one can perform rites here. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 11: Rudraprayag / Srinagar > Haridwar
Morning drive back to Rishikesh. En-route see the confluence of Bhagirathi and Alaknanda in Devprayag. on arrival at Rishikesh visit magnificent ashrams and famous Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula, Shivanand Ashram, Gita Bhavan, Pramarth Niketan later drive to Haridwar, drop at railway station.
